As believers, we must be aware of the inextricable link in the new covenant between the redemptive work of Christ on the cross and the ethical admonitions of the gospel. Obedience to Jesus is never separated from salvation in Jesus. We must believe that Jesus is Savior, but we must also submit to Jesus as Lord.
