God has a plan for each of us. His plan is never deficient. His plan, when followed, will deliver us from evil that might otherwise engulf us. The Bible provides a plan that goes above and beyond our plans. Our plans cannot deliver us from evil. Knowing God’s plan for us starts with knowing God and if we want to know God, we look to Jesus. The wisest step anyone can ever take is to place their trust in Jesus.

Are there times when you can still hear an authority figure from your past warning you about a certain action? What voices or influences are driving your definition of spirituality? When we understand that all of the cultural noise around us is speaking into our lives and influencing our actions, how do we filter that noise and on what basis do we allow certain voices and disallow others? While Proverbs is not about behavior modification, what does it say that your behavior reveals? If you find yourself constantly giving in to sin, what does it say about more fundamental issues?
