Genesis

Everything in this life has a beginning. Our aged cars at one time rolled off the assembly line brand new. Many successful entrepreneurs began their businesses in their garages. A professional basketball player began his career with the first bounce of a ball. The Civil Rights movement began as a dream in the hearts of a few determined people. Every marriage had a first date, and every person began his or her life at birth.
Our entire Advent season focuses on redemption accomplished. “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law” (Gal 4:4-5). The angel announced to shepherds, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). The redemption promised had been fulfilled! And it all started in Genesis.
