David: The Life of a King

This story invites us to trust the God who sees perfectly and chooses wisely. God is assuring us that He has not forgotten, He has not overlooked, and He is not late. Ultimately, this passage is not just about David. It is about Jesus. The King we would not have chosen. The King who did not look the part. The King who was rejected, overlooked, and crucified. And yet, He is the King God has appointed. So, the question that remains is not whether God has chosen His King. The question is whether or not we will trust Him.
