The Bible says that the King will once again ride into His kingdom. The gospel makes the kingdom imminent. When it happens, Paul says, “…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” Are we waiting with anticipation? Are we ready to worship the King?

For further consideration:
Some scholars contend that Jesus had arranged ahead of time for the donkey and colt to be available. Does this possibility affect the meaning of the text or minimize the fulfillment of prophecy? While from the disciples’ things may have been spinning out of control, but do you think that any of the events during that last week in Jerusalem were a surprise to Jesus? How should that affect the way we live our lives each day? How does the idea of Jesus being in control compel us to abide in Him? What kind of Messiah do you think the people were expecting? What kind do you expect?
