For further consideration:

How was Jesus’ method of healing the blind man a reflection of how our spiritual eyes are illumined to the things of Christ? How long had you heard the gospel before you were ready to embrace it? How long had you followed Jesus before you felt compelled to place your trust in Him? How is Jesus call to discipleship radical? In what ways are we tempted to make the “normal” Christian life less radical? Why is it inadequate to see Jesus as simply a wise sage, a great teacher of morality, or even just an example to follow? What kind of Messiah did the Jewish people expect of that day? How do we sometimes display that same type of attitude (wanting the blessings of resurrection without encountering the suffering of the cross?) What can you do this
week to proclaim publicly that Jesus is the Christ?
