The law was given to us to give us a picture of God’s nature and character in a way that we could understand it. It was given to us to move us from indifference and ignorance to desperation and an acute awareness of a need to be rescued. It is our prison guard until Christ comes into our lives and frees us by faith as we place our trust in Him.
