Jesus is before all things; he is preexistent; he is eternal; he is God in the flesh, and in him all things are being held together. It also means that whatever is going on your life right now, it hasn’t surprised him. It hasn’t caught him off guard. You might be in a panic about you, but Jesus is not. He is fully aware and fully able to be glorified in it. The gospel was revealed and entrusted to us so that we might know this about God, glorify Him with our lives, and enjoy Him forever.
