Even though many churches are showing signs of decline that will ultimately lead to death, we have the hope of the gospel that promises life. Jesus said to Peter, “. . . on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” The universal church is alive and well, and we get to serve Christ and His kingdom as we advance the gospel in this world.
