God’s promises to Abraham were established and would (and will) be eventually fulfilled. The covenant is unconditional; its fulfillment does not depend on man’s faith or faithfulness. What that means for us today is that the new covenant established by Christ and His cross during the dark night of His soul, is dependable and fulfilled whether people accept it or not. Those who put their faith in Christ enter into that covenant and receive eternal salvation, an eternal inheritance, and eternal glory.
