It is a curse to carry unconfessed and unforgiven sin in our hearts. It weighs us down and affects our health (Ps 32). It is a joy to know God’s mercy and forgiveness. Through the sacrificial system, and ultimately the sacrifice of Jesus, God’s people experience forgiveness that allows us to come into His presence and worship Him.
