Cain’s family tree ends with the family of Lamech, an arrogant murderer whose sons lived for
this world. The world of that day probably admired Cain’s achievements. But we are reminded
in 1 John 2:17, “And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of
God abides forever.”
