Apart from Christ we are dead in our sin and labeled rebels against God, a label that keeps us from fellowship with him and in fact draws his ire in the form of his wrath. The truth of the gospel is that through the finished work of Christ and his cross we receive salvation, not by philosophy and worldview or legalism and religion, but by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
