Jesus knows that perfection in our actions and attitudes is impossible this side of heaven. But that doesn’t keep him from warning us time and again about pursuing righteousness and godliness. We don’t live the Christian life in order to gain God’s grace. We live our lives based on Christian principles in order to grow in God’s grace. We walk in wisdom because only then are we walking with Christ.
