For some things in life, sequence matters. We understand that before we take upper level courses, we must take prerequisites. Before the bank lends us money, we must be prequalified. Before we are supervisors, we must first be subordinates. The natural world seems to be ordered this way. Authentic spiritual transformation is ordered this way as well.
