Who lives, who dies, who tells your story? There is a line near the end of that song in Hamilton that says, “And when my time is up, have I done enough? Will they tell my story?” It is noble to want to end life having done enough, but the most important part of our legacy would be to live with the knowledge that Christ has done enough. Will the story they tell be all about you? Or will the story they tell be about the Christ who is in you?

Reflection
Is our service willing or reluctant? Is it motivated by pride and ego or humility and Spirit? Do we believe that God will equip us for the tasks to which we are called? How does God set us up for success? What tools does He give us and what confidence does He instill in us? How do we overcome doubt about our giftedness or our service? Do you think it was wise for Moses to press God for some other representative? How can we spiritualize our reluctance and rationalize our rejection of God’s call to serve?
