The Bible tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6.) God pleasure in us is not based on our performance for Him; instead, God’s pleasure in us is based on Christ’s performance for us. Because Christ loves us, we can trust Him to be everything we need or want, but it calls for us to be dependent upon Him.
