God knew that people would be inclined to compartmentalize faith and separate the mind from the heart. Throughout the Old Testament God reminded His people that the only way they will be able to truly follow him, is if their faith becomes a matter of the heart. The same is true today. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that the right understanding of the blood of Jesus is necessary, but just as necessary is motivations, desires, and actions that should come when the blood of Jesus through faith, grips our hearts.
