Watch Sermon>

The truth is that we are all blind until Jesus gives us sight. We are all poor beggars until He paid our ransom. We come to Him at what might seem the most inconvenient time with nothing but weakness and need, and He stops and has time for us. Now is the time to call on the name of Jesus. Today is the day of salvation.

For further consideration
Why is it sometimes easy to overlook individuals while we are trying to do great things for the kingdom? How does our pride play a part in that? How do the busyness of our culture and the tyranny of the urgent make it hard to stop and help individuals? How do we learn to stop? Why do you think Jesus asked Bartimaeus what he wanted? How does that question help us demonstrate faith in Jesus? What are your spiritual blind spots? Do you have someone in your life that can lovingly help you identify them? What is your first reaction when you discover a blind spot? Do you try to fix it yourself or do you call out to Jesus? What can you trust Jesus for this week? What can you ask of Him that will exercise your faith?
