Ultimately, a correct understanding of the nature and character of Christ will require faith. Only by faith will we be able to say that Jesus was fully God and fully man. Only by faith will we be able to live in the tension between the sovereign election of God in salvation and the human responsibility to embrace it by faith. Only by faith will we be able to declare Jesus as Savior and submit to Jesus as Lord.
